Chapter 24: Gift.

Two days passed and Yin Xiu gradually adapted to the rhythm of going to work. It was quite a novel experience, at least for Yin Xiu.
"Yin Xiu, we will arrange a leave from work tomorrow. We'll go to the police station and process your ID. I have already secured a person that'll help us."
Ji Xueqing herself was the manager of the company, so she could naturally arrange their leave easily.
"Understood, thank you for the help." Yin Xiu thanked her. If not for Ji Xueqing having connections, it would've been troublesome for him to get an ID.
Ji Xueqing smiled, "You're welcome. Alright, it's almost time to get off work. Pack up and get ready to go back."
Yin Xiu temporarily worked inside Ji Xueqing's office the past two days. This was mainly for his convenience, as he can ask Ji Xueqing questions at any time if he doesn't understand something.
Speaking of work, Ji Xueqing was indeed very 'caring' towards Yin Xiu when it came to it. Fortunately, Yin Xiu himself was able to understand and adapt to the work without much issue.
Ji Xueqing and Yin Xiu went home together since they lived very close and were basically neighbors.

All of the formalities were soon completed.
Of course, it will take some time to get the actual ID card. So the police station got Yin Xiu a temporary one for now.
"Let's go, let's have a meal first. It's almost time for lunch."
It was already half past eleven when they got out of the police station, hence Ji Xueqing suggested eating.
"Okay." Yin Xiu also agreed.
The two walked some distance and soon found a restaurant with a good atmosphere.
"By the way, since there is nothing to do in the afternoon, how about watching a movie later?" After they sat down, Ji Xueqing suddenly asked.
Yin Xiu's understanding of movies naturally comes from the memory of the man who he used soul search on. So he was very interested in Ji Xueqing's proposal and wanted to experience it firsthand.
"Good idea. I really want to feel the difference between watching movies in the cinema and watching TV at home." Yin Xiu expressed his thoughts.
Ji Xueqing smiled. She didn't find Yin Xiu's words as strange. After all, Yin Xiu already told her that he had been studying in the mountains for a long time. He just came out a few days ago, so it was normal that he hadn't watched a movie in a cinema yet.
"The difference is quite big. The quality of movies in the cinema is much better. There's also many movies with 3D versions, they are more realistic and immersive."

Half an hour later, Yin Xiu and Ji Xueqing went to the cinema after eating their lunch.
"What movie do you want to see?" Ji Xueqing stood in the cinema hall, looked at the list on the electronic screen and asked Yin Xiu beside her.
Yin Xiu doesn't know which movie was good. So after hearing Ji Xueqing's inquiry, he said, "I'll leave it up to you. I don't really have experience in this yet."
"Uh huh, ok, then let's see 'Jurassic World'. It's an American Hollywood blockbuster that was just released. It also has good 3D and CGI production, equipped with top tier special effects..."
Ji Xueqing said.
"Alright!"
The two then lined up to buy tickets. Although it was not the weekend, there were still quite a number of people waiting in line. Most of them were likewise interested in the newly released Hollywood blockbuster 'Jurassic World.'
After waiting in line for a few minutes, Ji Xueqing finally managed to buy two tickets.
"Come, let's go shopping first. The movie will not start until two o'clock, so we still have more than an hour to spend." Ji Xueqing said and gave one of the tickets to Yin Xiu.
Yin Xiu took the ticket and put it into his pocket.
The cinema itself was located in a commercial square on a commercial street, so a shopping mall was just outside the cinema.
"Yin Xiu, wait for me here."
The two went shopping when Ji Xueqing suddenly thought of something. She suddenly said to Yin Xiu.
Yin Xiu nodded, although somewhat surprised. "Ok"
Ji Xueqing smiled at Yin Xiu, and then trotted away quickly.
Yin Xiu didn't use his spiritual sense to spy out why Ji Xueqing left. He just waited quietly in place for about ten minutes, before Ji Xueqing came running back.
It was noon, so the sun was at its peak and the temperature was high. Since Ji Xueqing was in a hurry, there was a faint red glow on her white cheeks.
"Yin Xiu, here!"
Ji Xueqing suddenly took her hand out from behind her back, and handed a small box to Yin Xiu.
"What is it?" Yin Xiu was dazed.
He looked at Ji Xueqing, before suspiciously looking down at the small box she handed over.
"It's a phone! Stupid! Don't you see the patterns and words?"
Yin Xiu was surprised and asked, "It's for me?"
"Yeah. You haven't bought a phone yet and since you now got a temporary ID, you can apply for a sim card. This will make contacting each other easier."
Ji Xueqing explained.
"True!"
Indeed, having a phone was really convenient. Yin Xiu didn't have an ID before and he really didn't know anyone, so he never bought a phone since it had no use. But remembering that he's now living in the secular world, and realising that he was bound to meet more people in the future just like Ji Xueqing, it was really necessary to have a phone.
"Alright, take it. There is also a Service Provider Store right over there so let's get you a sim card while we're here." Ji Xueqing put the phone into Yin Xiu's hands.
"I understand." Yin Xiu suddenly thought of something, "By the way, how much did this phone cost? I'll pay you back later."
Yin Xiu only had about a thousand yuan in his pocket at the moment. Yes, he had money in his storage ring but it is not appropriate to get some right now since he's in front of Ji Xueqing.
"No, this is from me. Just treat it as a gift!" Ji Xueqing refused to let him pay her back.
"This phone should cost about five to six thousand, it's quite expensive..." Although Yin Xiu didn’t care about money, it doesn't seem good to accept such expensive gifts.
Yin Xiu also recognized that the phone Ji Xueqing gave was the latest iPhone.
Ji Xueqing said with a charming voice, "It's just a gift! Besides, you saved me that night; and now that we are friends and colleagues, it's nothing to give you a gift."

Ji Xueqing's face had a happy smile. She then took Yin Xiu's hand and said, "Let's go get you a sim card first."
"Yes."
Yin Xiu just let Ji Xueqing pull himself. But what he didn't notice, was the slight redness on Ji Xueqing's ears...
